Supplies: Size H/8/5mm and I/9/5.5mm crochet hook, 4 ounces Red Heart Super Saver, Camouflage (#971).

Stitches used: ch (chain), sc (single crochet), dc (double crochet), fpdc (front post double crochet), bpdc (back post double crochet).

Gauge: With I hook, 4 pattern stitches (sc, dc) = 2 inches, 5 pattern rows = 2 inches.

Rnd. 1: with I hook, ch2, work 8 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, join with sl st to beginning sc, ch1, turn.      8 sc

Rnd. 2: sc, dc in each sc around, join to beginning sc, ch1, turn.      16 st

Rnd. 3: repeat rnd. 2.        32 st

Rnd. 4: sc in first dc, dc in next sc, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc*, repeat from asterisks around, join to beginning sc, ch1, turn.            32 st

Rnd. 5: sc, dc in each st around, join to beginning sc, ch1, turn.       64 st

Rnd. 6: repeat rnd. 4.        64 st

Pom-Pom:Wrap yarn 50 times around 2 fingers, tie securely in center, cut ends.  For extra fluff in pom-pom, lightly brush pom-pom with clean toothbrush.  Tie pom-pom to top of cap.
