Fluffy Booties-Size 0-3, 6-9, 12-18 months

Skill Level:  Intermediate

Supplies: Size G/6/4mm Crochet Hook,  Sport Light, Red Heart TLC Baby Yarn (100% acrylic, 6oz, 170g, 490yd, 448m, Calm Blue #5811), yarn needle, 4 (5/8”) buttons , 2 pony beads.

Stitches Used: ch (chain), slst (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), decsc (decrease single crochet), decdc (decrease double crochet), dlp (double loop stitch) bsc (bead single crochet-sc, drop loop from hook, pull yarn through bead, reinsert hook; bsc-button-sc, drop loop from hook, pull loop through first hole in button, bottom to top, then pull loop through 2^nd hole, top to bottom-repeat twice more for 4 hole button).

Gauge: single strand with F hook-6 sc = 2″, 6 sc rows = 2″

Directions for Small: (changes for medium, large and x-large in parentheses)

Rnd. 1: (sole) with G hook, working with 2 strands, ch8 (10, 12, 14), 2sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in next 5 (7, 9, 11) ch, 3sc in next ch, working in open loops of beginning ch, sc in next 6 (8, 10, 12) ch, join with slst to beginning sc, ch1, do not turn in this or following rnds.             16 (20, 24, 28) sc

Rnd. 2: sc in first sc, *2sc in next sc, sc in next 5 (7, 9, 11) sc, 2sc in next sc*, sc in next sc, repeat from * once, join to beginning sc, ch1.        20 (24, 28, 32) sc

Rnd. 3: sc in first sc, *2sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 5 (7, 9, 11) sc, 2sc in next 2 sc*, sc in next sc, repeat from * once, join to beginning sc, ch1.          28 (32, 36, 40) sc

Rnd. 12: sc in each dbl, join to beginning sc,  ch15 (17, 19, 21).

Row 1: (ribbing) sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in next 13 (15, 17, 19) ch, slst in next 2 st on slipper, do not ch1, turn.     14 (16, 18, 20) sc, 2slst

Row 2: skip first 2 slst, working in back loops, sc in next 14 (16, 18, 20) sc, ch1, turn.      14 (16, 18, 20) sc

Row 3: working in back loops, sc in first 14 (16, 18, 20) sc, working in both loops, slst in next 2 st on slipper, turn.       14 (16, 18, 20) sc, 2slst

Rows 4-20 (24, 28, 32): repeat, alternating Rows 2 and 3, fasten off at end of rnd. 34 (36, 38), leaving 12” tail.

With right sides facing, sew seam on ribbing using tail.
