Swiffer Style Mop Cover-Free Crochet Pattern


Washable and reusable mop covers for swiffer style mops in 2 sizes for the 10″ mop and the 15″ mop.  The flat style can be used for damp mopping and the fluffy style is great for dry dusting.

Skill Level: Easy – Intermediate

Stitches Used: ch(chain), sc(single crochet), dlp (double loop stitch).

Supplies: Size G/6/4mm Crochet Hook,

Supplies: Size G/6/4mm Crochet Hook, 2-3 oz.  worsted/aran weight yarn (amount of yarn will vary depending on size and style.

Gauge: 8 sc and 8 sc Rows = 2”.

For Mop Size: Size 10” x 5” and 15” x 5” Mop Head-Flat Style (changes for large size in parentheses)

Row 1: ch41 (61), sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.   40 (60)sc

Row 2: ch1, turn, sc in each sc across.   40 (60)sc

Rows 3-10: repeat Row 2.   40 (60)sc

Row 11: ch1, turn, sc in first sc, working in backloops, sc in next 38 (58)sc. working in both loops, sc in last sc.   40 (60)sc

Rows 12-30: repeat Row 11.   40 (60)sc

Rows 31- 40: repeat Row 2, fasten off at end of Row 40.   40 (60)sc

For Mop Size: Size 10” x 5” and 15” x 5” Mop Head-Fluffy Style (changes for large size in parentheses)
