Ruffles and Frills Scarf-Free Crochet Pattern
This scarf works up really quick and easy! So easy that a beginner with minimal skills could do it! The results are so very feminine and really pretty. It’s a bit of a booger to keep stretching the yarn as you go, but once you get the hang of it, it does easier.

Insert hook in next loop on top of yarn, holding each loop on hook, *yo, insert hook in next loop, pull onto hook*, repeat until there are 10 loops on hook, yo, pull last loop through all loops on hook. (Note: you are working 10 sl st, holding all loops on hook, continue to uroll and stretch yarn as you go.)
Working in each top loop across, holding each loop on hook, *yo, insert hook in next loop, pull loop onto hook*, repeat from * until there are 10 loops on hook, yo, pull last loop through all loops on hook.
Continue until you have reached the last 4 or 5 loops on the yarn, then yo, pull remaining yarn through last loop on hook. Tie a knot with remaining yarn at each end of scarf. Weave ends into the knot and cut off any excess.

Work with a loose tension so the loops are not real tight on the hook…. or you can use any size hook that you are comfortable with, then when you have the 10 (8 looops might be easier) loops on your hook…….insert hook into next loop on scarf and pull hat loop tthru the first loop on hook, then the next loop on hook and so on…….it’s easier to pull thru 1 at a time instead of all 10 at once……..it’s like working a 10 st decrease…….

How do i start. Do i work off a chain?
October 29, 2012 at 7:43 am
Open the yarn and pull it out so it’s kind of flat…….working on the side where it’s all loops…….the chains are already made, so using the loops as the beginning ch…..insert hook in first loop and pull that loop onto the hook, then insert hook into the next loop and pull that onto the hook……..do this until you have 10 loops on hook, then insert hook into the next loop and pull that thru the loops on the hook………..it’s like working a 10 sl st decrease…….hope this helps…….let me know if you have any other questions.
