Supplies: about 75 yards, size 10 cotton crochet thread; size B/1/2.25mm, crochet hook.
Stitches used: ch (chain), sc (single crochet), dc (double crochet), pc (popcorn stitch-5dc in same stitch, drop last loop from hook, insert hook in first dc of this group and pull the dropped loop through.)

Directions:
Ch6, join with slip stitch to form ring.
Rnd. 1: ch3 (counts as first dc), 15dc in ring. Join with slip stitch to top of beginning ch3, do not turn in this or following rnds. (16 dc)
Rnd 2: ch3 (counts as first dc), dc in same st, 2dc in each dc around. Join with slip stitch to form ring. (32 dc)
Rnd. 3: ch3 (counts as first dc), *2dc in next dc; dc in next dc*, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to beginning dc. (48 dc)
Rnd. 4: ch3, 4dc in same st, drop last loop from hook, insert hook in top of ch3 and pull the dropped loop through (beginning pc), ch2; *skip next dc, pc, ch2 in next dc*, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to top of beginning pc. (24 pc)
Rnd. 5: slip stitch to first ch-2 sp; beginning pc, ch2; *skip next pc; pc, ch2 in next ch-2 space*, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to top of beginning pc. (24 pc)
Rnds. 6, 7, 8: repeat rnd 5.
Rnd. 9: slip stitch to first ch-2 sp; ch1, 2sc in same sp, *2 sc in next space* repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to first sc. (48 sc)
Rnd. 10: ch4, skip next sc, *dc, ch1, skip next sc*, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to 3rd ch of beginning ch4. (24, ch-1 spaces)
Rnd. 11: slip stitch to first ch-1 sp; ch3 (counts as first dc), 6dc in same space; *sc in next space, 7dc in next space*, repeat from * around; join with slip stitch to top of beginning ch3, fasten off.
(12- 7dc groups)
Drawstrings-make 2:
Leaving 3” tail, ch80, fasten off leaving 3” tail. Weave first drawstring through ch-1 spaces of rnd. 10. Tie ends at the tails. Weave second drawstring through ch-1 spaces of rnd. 10, so that the tails are at the opposite end of the first drawstring. Using the 3” tails, tie the ends of each drawstring.
Fringe: Wrap cotton crochet thread around a 3” cardboard square 10 times. Insert fringe at tied end of drawstring, trim as needed. Repeat for second drawstring.

My pleasure……these are really small….change purse size. I have a pattern for a larger one if you are looking for purse size…..it’s pretty quick and easy, too!
