Skill Level: Easy
Stitches Used: sl st; ch; sc; hdc; dc; dec sc; pc (popcorn-work 5 dc, remove hook from last loop; insert hook through first and last loop and pull needle through).

 Supplies: Size F Aluminum crochet hook; odds and ends of 4 ply worsted weight yarn, yarn needle, large plastic Easter egg; (or stuff with polyester fiberfill); buttons or beans (optional-to put in eggs to make it rattle)

 Gauge: 4 sc per inch; 5 sc rows per inch

 Directions for arms and legs-all people and critters 

Rnd. 1: leaving a long tail, ch 25; sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch; leaving a long tail; fasten off.    24 sl st

 Shoes and hands:

Rnd. 1: Attach yarn at end of leg, work 1 pc stitch; fasten off leaving a tail to sew pc closed.

 

Directions for Girl  Priss :          

Rnd. 1: ch 2; 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook; do not join this or following rnds; mark beginning sc with safety pin.

 

Rnd. 2: 2 sc in each sc.    16 sc

 

Rnd.3: *sc in next sc; 2 sc in next sc*; repeat from asterisk around.   24 sc

 

Rnd. 4: *sc in next 2 sc; 2 sc in next sc*; repeat from asterisk around.    32 sc

 

Rnd. 5: sc in each sc.    32 sc

 

Rnds. 6-10: repeat rnd. 5; join at end of rnd. 10; ch 2, turn.   32 sc

Dress:

 Attach legs-tie legs, evenly spaced at 5th rnd. of body.

Change color (pink)

Rnd. 13: Attach pink in front loops at rnd. 11; sc in each sc; do not join; mark beginning sc with safety pin.    32 sc

 

Rnd. 14: *sc in 2 sc; dec sc over next 2 sc*: repeat around.   24 sc

 

Rnd. 15: sc in each sc.   24 sc

 

Rnds. 16-19: repeat rnd. 17.    24 sc

 Attach Arms:  tie arms directly above legs, evenly spaced at rnd. 17.

 Insert egg into “body”.  (or can be stuffed with polyester fiberfill)

Rnd. 20: *sc in next sc; dec sc over next 2 sc*; repeat around.  16 sc

 

Rnd. 21: *dec sc over next 2 sc*; repeat around; leaving a long tail; fasten off.

 

Finishing: using yarn needle, darn top of “head” closed with yarn from tail at end of rnd. 21.

Rnds. 3-24: repeat rnd. 2; fasten off at end of rnd. 24, leaving a long tail to sew up center.

 

Sew around top of hat about a ¼ in down from the top of hat, pull stitches to gather top together, stitch closed.

 

 Bunny Ears and/or Owl Wings

 

Make 2

Rnd. 1: ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in the next 8 ch; 4 sc in next ch; working down back of ch; sc in next 9 ch; fasten off leaving a long tail to sew ears or wings to critter.

Mouse Ears

Rnd. 1: ch 2; work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook (do not join)

 

Rnd. 2: work 2 sc in next 6 sc; fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew ears to critter.
