Mini Drawstring Bag-Green-Popcorn Stitch 
Supplies: about 75 yards, size 10 cotton crochet; size 1, steel crochet hook.
Stitches used:  ch, sc, dc, pc (popcorn stitch)          
Skill Level: Beginner
Directions for pc (popcorn stitch)
5 dc in same stitch, drop last loop from hook,

insert hook in first dc of this group and pull the dropped loop through.



 
Directions:

Ch 6, join with slip stitch to form ring.
 
Rnd. 1:  ch 3 (counts as first dc), 15 dc in ring.  Join with slip stitch to top of first ch 3.  Do not turn this or any round.  (16 dc)

 Rnd 2:  ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in joining, 2 dc in each dc around.  Join with slip stitch to form ring.   (32 dc) 

 Rnd. 3:  ch 3 (counts as first dc), [2 dc in next dc; dc in next dc] repeat around, join with slip stitch to top of first ch 3.   (48 dc)

 Rnd. 4:  ch 3, 4 dc in joining, drop last loop from hook, insert hook in top of ch 3 and pull the dropped loop through (beginning pc), ch 2; [skip next dc, pc, ch 2 in next dc] repeat around, join with slip stitch to top of beginning pc.  (24 pc)

 Rnd. 5:  slip stitch to first ch 2 sp; beginning pc, ch 2; [skip next pc; pc, ch 2 in next ch 2 space] repeat around, join with slip stitch to top of beginning pc.    (24 pc)

 Rnds. 6, 7, 8:  repeat rnd 5.

 Rnd. 9:  slip stitch to first ch 2 space; ch 1, 2 sc in same space, [2 sc in next space] repeat around, join with slip stitch to first sc.   (48 sc)

 Rnd. 10:  ch 4, skip next sc, [dc, ch 1, skip next sc] repeat around, join with slip stitch to 3rd ch of first ch 4.   (24, ch 1 spaces)

 Rnd. 11:  slip stitch to first ch 1 sp; ch 3 (counts as first dc), 6 dc in same space; [sc in next space, 7 dc in next space] repeat around; join with slip stitch to top of first ch 3.  Fasten off.

(12, 7 dc groups)
 
Drawstrings:

Make (2) ch 80 drawstrings, leaving 3 inch tails at both ends.  Weave first drawstrings through ch 1 spaces on rnd. 10.  Tie ends at the tails.  Weave second drawstring through same ch 1 spaces on rnd. 10 so that the tails are at opposite ends.  Tie second drawstring at the tail.

  Fringe:  Wrap cotton crochet around a 3 inch cardboard square 10 times.  Insert fringe at tied ends of first drawstring.  Trim as needed.  Repeat for second drawstring.
