These crack me up! A really fun slipper for the little ones.  They whip up pretty quick and you can use almost any fluffy type yarn.  It’s also easy to adjust to larger sizes, just change to a larger hook and/or heavier weight yarn.

Skill Level:  Easy

Supplies: Size F/5/3.75mm and H/8/5mm Crochet Hook, 1.5 ounces Red Heart Super Saver, 1 ounce Bernat Boa (or similar fluffy yarn), yarn needle, 4 googly eyes with shank, 2 pony beads.

Stitches Used: ch (chain), sl st (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), dec dc (decrease double crochet), dlp (double loop stitch).

Gauge: single strand with H hook-6 sc = 2″, 6 sc rows = 2″

Directions:

Rnd. 1: with H hook, working with 2 strands, ch8 (10, 12), 2sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 5 (7, 9) ch, 3sc in next ch, working in open loops of beginning ch, sc in next 6 (8, 10) ch, join with sl st to beginning sc, ch1, do not turn in this or following rnds.             16 (20, 24) sc

Rnd. 2: sc in first sc, *2sc in next sc, sc in next 5 (7, 9) sc, 2sc in next sc*, sc in next sc, repeat from * once, join to beginning sc, ch1.        20 (24, 28) sc

Rnd. 3: sc in first sc, *2sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 5 (7, 9) sc, 2sc in next 2 sc*, sc in next sc, repeat from * once, join to beginning sc, ch1.          28 (32, 36) sc

Rnd. 4: sc in first sc, *2sc in next sc, sc in next 11(13, 15) sc, 2sc in next sc*, sc in next sc, repeat from * once, join to beginning sc, ch1.           32 (36, 40) sc

Rnd. 5: working with single strand, in back loops, sc in each sc around, join to beginning sc, ch 1, do not turn.      32 (36, 40) sc

Rnd. 6: working in back loops, sc in first sc and in each sc around, join to beginning sc, ch 1, do not turn.                  32 (36, 40) sc

Rnd. 7: working in back loops, sc in first 12 (14, 16) sc, dec sc over next 2 sc (2 times), ch1, drop loop off hook, pull loop through bead, dec sc over next 2 sc (2 times), sc in next 12 (14) sc, join to beginning sc, ch1, do not turn.      28 (32, 36) sc

Rnd. 8: working in back loops, sc in first 10 (12, 14) sc, dec sc over next 2 sc (twice), *ch1, drop loop from hook, pull loop through eye shank*, dec sc over next 2 sc, repeat from * once, dec sc over next 2 sc, sc in next 10 (12, 14) sc, join to beginning sc, ch1, do not turn.          24 (28, 32) sc

Rnd. 9: working in back loops, sc in first 8 (10, 12) sc, dec sc over next 2 sc (4 times), sc in next 8 (10, 12) sc, join to beginning sc, ch13 (15, 17), turn.          20 (24, 28) sc

Rnd. 10: with F hook, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 11 (13) ch, sl st in next 2 st on slipper, turn.     14 (16, 18) st

Rnd. 11: skip first 2 sl st, working in back loops, sc in next 12 (14, 16) sc, ch1, turn.      12 (14, 16) sc

Rnd. 12: working in back loops, sc in first 12 (14, 16) sc, working in both loops, sl st in next 2 st on slipper, turn.       14 (16, 18) st

Rnds. 13-29 (33, 37): repeat, alternating rnds. 11 and 12, fasten off at end of rnd. 29, leaving 12” tail.

With right sides facing, sew seam on ribbing using tail.

Finishing:

With H hook, starting at back, center, bottom of slipper, working in front loops, attach yarn (Bernat Boa), sl st in each sc around, do not join.  Moving up to the next rnd. and working in front loops, sl st in each sc around.  Continue until each row is worked. Fasten off on final rnd, weave in ends.
