Supplies: 1 ounce Sugar and Cream cotton yarn, 15 yards contrasting color Sugar and Cream cotton yarn, G crochet hook.

 

Stitches Used: ch, sc, dec sc, dc

 

Gauge: 5 sc per inch, 5 rows per inch

 

Directions

Rnd. 1: ch 3, dc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 30, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, turn.   2 sc

 

Rnd. 2: 2 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn.    4 sc

 

Rnd. 3: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc, ch 1, turn.     5 sc

 

Rnd. 4: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 4 sc, ch 1, turn.     6 sc

 

Rnd. 5: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 5 sc, ch 1, turn.     7 sc

 

Rnd. 6: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch 1, turn.    8 sc

 

Rnd. 7: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 7 sc, ch 1, turn.   9 sc

 

Rnd. 8: sc in each sc, ch 1, turn.    9 sc

Optional: Embroider snow flower as shown on side of hat.
