Angel Egglet-Free Crochet Pattern
Little angel ornament made using plastic Easter egg (or fiberfill), makes a great package topper too! Includes directions for the girl Santa’s Helper!

Supplies: Size F/5/3.75mm crochet hook, large plastic Easter egg (or fiberfill will also work), yarn needle, 3yds. of Bernat Boa yarn (optional), about ½oz. red or white or desired color worsted weight yarn, ¼oz. pink worsted weight yarn, about 3yds. yarn for hair and facial features, 12” narrow satin ribbon..
Stitches used: ch (chain), slst (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), dc (double crochet), scdec (decrease single crochet), pc (popcorn stitch, work 5dc, remove hook from last loop, insert hook in first dc and pull last loop through).
Gauge: 4 sc per inch, 5 sc rows per inch.

Directions for arms and legs-all people.
Rnd. 1: leaving a 10” tail, ch25, slst in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, fasten off leaving a long tail.
Shoes and hands for all people.
Rnd. 1: Attach yarn at last st on leg, work 1pc, fasten off, leaving a tail to sew pc closed.
Directions for Girl Santa’s Helper and Angel
Rnd. 1: ch2, work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook; do not join this or following rnds, mark beginning sc. 8sc
Rnd. 2: 2sc in each sc. 16sc
Rnd. 3: sc in first sc, 2sc in next sc; *sc in next sc; 2sc in next sc*; repeat from *to* around. 24sc
Rnd. 4: sc in first 2 sc; 2sc in next sc; *sc in next 2 sc; 2sc in next sc*; repeat from *to* around. 32sc
Rnd.5: sc in first sc and in each sc around. 32sc
Rnds. 6-10: repeat rnd 5; join at end of rnd. 10, ch3 (counts as first dc in this and following rnds.), turn. 32sc
Dress:
Rnd. 11: working in back loops; dc in same st as joining; 3dc in next sc; *2dc in next sc; 3dc in next sc*; repeat from *to* around, join with slst to beginning dc, ch3, do not turn. 80dc
Rnd. 12: dc in next dc and in each dc around; join with slst to beginning dc, ch3, do not turn. 80dc
Rnd. 13: repeat rnd. 12; fasten off. 80dc
Rnd. 14: attach Boa yarn with slst, ch1, sc in same st; sc in each dc around; join to beginning sc; fasten off. 80sc
Attach legs: tie legs, spaced evenly at the 5th rnd of body by pulling tails through body and tie securely.
Change color to pink.
Rnd. 11: attach pink yarn with slst to front loops at rnd 10; ch1, sc in same st; sc in each sc around; do not join this or the following rnds, mark beginning sc. 32sc
Rnd. 12: sc in first 2 sc; scdec over next 2 sc; *sc in next 2 sc; scdec over next 2 sc*; repeat from *to* around. 24sc
Rnd. 13: sc in first sc and in each sc around. 24sc
Rnds. 14-18: repeat rnd 13. 24sc
Attach arms: tie arms evenly spaced at rnd 14, directly above the legs. Insert egg into body.
Rnd. 19: sc in first sc, scdec over next 2 sc; *sc in next sc, scdec over next 2 sc* repeat from *to* around. 16sc
Rnd. 20: scdec over first 2 sc; *scdec over next 2 sc*; repeat from *to* around, join, fasten off leaving a long tail. 8sc
Finishing: Using a yarn needle, darn top of head closed with yarn from tail at end of last rnd.
Using yarn or embroidery thread, embroider eyes and mouth as pictured.
Angel Wings
Rnd. 1: ch4, join with slst to form ring.
Rnd.2: ch1, work 8 sc in ring; join with slst to beginning sc. 8sc
Rnd. 3: ch3 (counts as first dc); 2dc in same st, 3dc in next sc; dc in next sc, ch3, turn. 7dc
Rnd. 4: dc in same st; *2dc in next dc*; repeat from *to* 5 times; ch3, turn. 14dc
Rnd. 5: dc in same st, skip next dc, *sc, ch2, dc in next dc; skip next dc*, repeat from *to* 4 times, fasten off.
Attach yarn at 5th sc on 2nd rnd; repeat rnds 3-5.
Trim: attach boa to any stitch on 5th rnd of angel wings, sc in each sc, work 2sc in each row around wings, fasten off.
Angel hair:
Wrap yarn 25 times around 2 fingers, tie at top, leaving tails. Tie to top of head and spread hair out evenly.
Santa’s Helper Hat (Girl)
Rnd. 1: ch2, work 8sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with slst to beginning sc. 8sc
Rnd. 2: ch 3 (counts as beginning dc in this and following rnds.), 2dc in same st, work 3dc in each sc around, join with slst to top of beginning dc. 24dc
Rnd. 3: ch3; 2dc in next dc; *dc in next dc; 2dc in next dc*; repeat from *to* around; join with slst to beginning dc. 36dc
Rnd. 4: ch3, dc in next dc and in each dc around; join with slst to top of beginning ch3. 36dc
Rnd. 5: ch4 (counts as dc, ch1); skip next dc; *dc, ch1 in next dc; skip next dc*; repeat from *to* 16 times, join with slst to 3rd ch of beginning ch4.
Rnd. 6: slst to ch-1sp, ch3, 3dc in same sp; 4dc in next ch-1sp and in each sp around, join with slst to beginning dc, fasten off.
Rnd. 7: Attach Boa to any dc; ch1, sc in same st, sc in each dc around, fasten off.
Finishing: Lace ribbon through ch-1sp(s), pull tightly to “pucker” hat, tie a bow. Sew hat to top of head.
